I seriously love Cantonese porridge compared to Teochew porridge but I not this texture. It's too smooth like baby's porridge. The spare ribs is so tender it falls off the bones without much of my effort stripping the meat! This Cordyceps Bak Kut Teh is a whole different taste which will definately hit anyone's taste buds (most if not all)! It isn't too strong with the bitter herbal taste like Malaysia Bak Kut Teh and at the same time it isn't pepperish like Singapore Bak Kut Teh.

Comfort food

Reminds me of what I ate when I was younger. The taste of the herbs are not super strong, and the porridge was well seasoned ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป it is very hearty and comforting. Even tho the portion size was for 2, I ate it all in one seating ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ It was very easy to prep and glad it's good for my body too!

Conveniently packed with a blend of herbs, the rich broth barraged my tongue consistenly with the different flavours. The meat was stewed completely well in the broth. Paired with my favourite fiery burn chilli padi and sweet oomph of the dark sauce.
